Spring TA Applications Due November 13
If you are interested in being a Teaching Assistant for a first-year class next semester, please submit an application by November 13, 2006. A complete application includes an application form, unofficial transcript, and a recent resume. You can find more information about job responsibilities, grade requirements, compensation, and the application forms in the Academic Support Program section of The Record.
Rescheduled Illinois Bar Examiner Visit for 3L/4L Students
Representatives from the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar will be at the Law School early in the spring semester. The Bar Examiners will provide information and answer questions from students in their final year of school concerning the completion of the bar application process and the character and fitness process. The time and date will be posted as soon as it is confirmed.
Handouts from ASP Exam Program Available Online
If you missed last week's Preparing for and Taking Exams, you can get copies of the handouts on the ASP website. The handouts available online include: Do's and Don't of Exam Preparation, Do's and Don'ts of Exam Taking, Multiple Choice Test Strategies, and Getting Answers to Exam Questions.
Student Discount Program for Lyric Opera
The Lyric Opera of Chicago has recently launched a new online discount ticket program for students, Lyric Opera NExT -- Discount Student Tickets for the Next Generation. During the course of each opera season, a select number of performances will be made available to students at a discounted price for $20. To order tickets, students must become a member of NExT by registering online at www.lyricopera.org/next. Once a student registers, he or she will receive periodic email announcements listing upcoming performances. The email will include a link and promotion code necessary to purchase discounted tickets.
