Justice Stephen G. Breyer
The IIT Chicago-Kent community was honored to welcome United States Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer to the law school on September 12 to speak at the inaugural program of our Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States.
In his thought-provoking, 90-minute presentation to students, faculty, alumni and friends, Justice Breyer addressed the themes set forth in his book Making Our Democracy Work--A Judge's View.

Chicago-Kent faculty perspectives on Justice Breyer
Prior to Justice Breyer's remarks, the Oyez Project at Chicago-Kent presented a video to the audience recounting aspects of Justice Breyer's years on the Court and featuring commentary by Professors Sheldon Nahmod, Carolyn Shapiro and Ed Lee, integrated with selected audio clips of Justice Breyer's majority opinion announcements, dissents from the bench, and comments and questions during oral arguments.
