Kristen E. Hazel

Ms. Hazel is a partner at the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, where she focuses on U.S. and international aspects of federal tax matters, including international acquisitions and joint ventures, captive insurance companies, and structuring and implementing partnership and limited liability company transactions. Ms. Hazel has served on the Illinois State Bar Association's Committee on Legal Education, Admission and Competence and has chaired the Chicago Bar Association's Federal Tax Committee's International Tax Subcommittee. Ms. Hazel earned a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. (with distinction) from Wayne State University. She clerked for two years for Justice Daniel J. McNamara of the Illinois Appellate Court.
