Mary Rose Strubbe
Professor of Legal Research and Writing;
Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program; and Assistant
Director of the Institute for Law and the Workplace |
Professor Strubbe graduated with high honors from Chicago-Kent College of
Law, where she was an editor of the Chicago-Kent
Law Review. After law school, she spent four
years as an associate with a small Chicago law firm
that concentrated in complex federal litigation.
She then taught at Chicago-Kent for two years, first
as an instructor, then as one of the first visiting
assistant professors teaching legal research and writing.
Professor Strubbe returned to private practice for seven years as a partner at Brigham, Kane & Strubbe before rejoining the Chicago-Kent faculty in 1994. While in private practice, she concentrated in employment-related matters.
Professor Strubbe is the principal author and editor-in-chief of the 1999
Cumulative Supplement to Sexual
Harassment in Employment Law. She teaches legal
research and writing, employment law courses, and
estates and trusts.
