John Weiss
Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar

Biographical Information:
Mr. Weiss graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 with a
B.S. in English. He worked at a small Chicago real estate and estate
planning law firm for one year before enrolling at Chicago-Kent. Mr. Weiss
graduated from Chicago-Kent in December 2004.
While at Chicago-Kent, Mr. Weiss worked at Illinois Legal Aid Online, which
maintains three websites that present legal information for legal aid
attorneys, attorneys engaged in pro bono work, and pro se litigants.
Additionally, he spent time working in the school’s criminal defense clinic
with Professor Richard Kling.
Mr. Weiss now works for Zurich North America in the Mass Litigation
Department. At Zurich, Mr. Weiss handles complex claims involving
allegations of injury or property damage that occur over multiple years.
