Andrew Bateman

Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar
Class of 2007  

Biographical Information

Mr. Bateman graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 1994 with a B.S. in electrical engineering, and received a M.S. in electrical engineering from National Technological University in 2001. Before starting at Chicago-Kent, Mr. Bateman worked for ten years in research departments at Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois, where he specialized in radio frequency hardware design.

Mr. Bateman was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. He worked as a summer associate for the intellectual property law firm McAndrews, Held & Malloy in the summer of 2005, and served as an extern to the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve, U.S. District Court Judge in the Northern District of Illinois, during the Fall 2005 semester. 

After graduation, Mr. Bateman returned to McAndrews, Held & Malloy, working in patent litigation and prosecution.
