Monica Kapp

Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar
Class of 2008

Biographical Information

Monica Kapp graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 1994 with a double major in economics and political science.  After graduation, she worked primarily as a stay-at-home mom and was (and still is) an active volunteer at her children's school.

In the summer after her first year at Chicago-Kent, she worked as a research assistant for Dean Harold J. Krent and was able to participate in the writing of a petition of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court. She has also worked as a law clerk for the Honorable James L. Carlson and as a law clerk in the Illinois Attorney General's Office. She is a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review.  Her legal interests include elder law, school law, business law, and real estate law.
