Courtney Smith

Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar
Class of 2009

Biographical Information

Ms. Courtney Smith graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, with a double major in Economics and Theology.  Originally a Kansas City native, Ms. Smith moved to Chicago for law school.  She is currently pursuing an LL.M degree in Taxation. 

While in law school, Ms. Smith participated in volunteer efforts in the Gulf Coast to aid Hurricane Katrina victims.  Additionally, she studied economic and international law at the University of Augsburg College of Law.  Her involvement with student organizations included terms on the Student Bar Association’s Board of Governors and the Illinois State Bar Association’s Law Student Division.
