Biographical Information
Ms. Courtney Smith graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, with a double major in Economics and Theology. Originally a Kansas City native, Ms. Smith moved to Chicago for law school. Her legal interests include estate planning, education law, and international law.
During her first year of law school, Ms. Smith volunteered in the Gulf Coast, assessing pending legal needs of Hurricane Katrina victims living in FEMA trailers. She spent her summer at the University of Augsburg College of Law, studying economic and international law. She currently serves on the Student Bar Association’s Board of Governors and on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Law Student Division.
