Biographical Information
Ms. Genevieve Deppe graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2005 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Public Policy. At Dartmouth, Ms. Deppe was a Presidential Scholar and Undergraduate Advisor for the Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Studies House. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Ms. Deppe was happy to return to the Midwest for law school.
During the summer of 2007, Ms. Deppe studied international law at the University of Augsburg School of Law with two of her fellow Honors Scholars. At Chicago-Kent, Ms. Deppe interned at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic negotiating with the IRS to resolve tax disputes for clients and volunteered at the Daley Center helping pro se litigants to navigate issues such as eviction and divorce. She also externed with Justice McNulty at the Illinois Appellate Court. During the summer of 2008, Ms. Deppe worked as a summer associate at Greenberg Traurig in Chicago, and she has accepted an offer to work there after graduation. In her free time, Ms. Deppe enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, running along the Chicago lakefront and in local 5ks, and spending time with her family and friends.
