Victoria Hayes

Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar
Class of 2010

Biographical Information:

Ms. Hayes graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho with a double major in Philosophy and Foreign Languages with a Business Emphasis.  Subsequently, Ms. Hayes spent two years in the Peace Corps in the Kyrgyz Republic where she taught English and designed projects for empowering youth.


The summer prior to law school, Ms. Hayes worked as a research assistant for Bartram Brown, professor of law and co-director of Chicago-Kent’s Program in International and Comparative Law. During the summer of 2008, Ms. Hayes completed a Rule of Law Externship with the UNDP’s Women’s Safety and Security Initiative in Kosovo, assisting with the drafting of Kosovo’s National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking.


Ms. Hayes is a member of Chicago-Kent Law Review and participates in Operation Kosovo and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.  Currently, Ms. Hayes is an extern for the Honorable Martin Ashman of the United States Magistrate Court, Northern District of Illinois.
