Biographical Information:
Pericles Abbasi graduated from the University of Chicago with a M.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Mathematics, and Economics. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi, was appointed a University of Chicago Student Marshal, and was awarded the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship. He filmed and edited a local hip-hop television show, started an arts and music promotion student organization, and competed in national quiz bowl competitions. As a chemistry researcher, he investigated the molecular pathology of Alzheimer’s and similar amyloid diseases.
Pericles is the President of Platinum Signature, Inc., and is a representative to United Nations DPI/NGO conferences for Rabita Council International (RASBAK), a Kashmiri development non-governmental organization. At Chicago-Kent, Pericles has served elective office in the Student Bar Association as a 1L representative and Illinois State Bar Association representative. He is pursuing a Certificate in Intellectual Property.
