Application Instructions

This form may be used to submit an online application for Chicago-Kent Honors Scholarships. You are not required to complete Chicago-Kent's regular application for admission at this time. (See application procedure section for details.)

All application materials - Honors Scholars Program application, essay, resume, and complete LSDAS report - must be received in the office of Admissions by Monday, January 28, 2008.

Your online Honors Scholars application will be sent to Jason Holly, Associate Director of Admissions. You may email your Honors essay and resume to jholly@kentlaw.edu or send the documents by mail to the Office of Admissions, Chicago-Kent College of Law, 565 West Adams Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661.

Essay

In a brief essay on a separate sheet, please respond to the following questions:

What qualities do you possess as a prospective law student that ultimately will result in your becoming a leader of the profession? How have your accomplishments or challenges so far demonstrated that leadership potential?

Resume

Submit a copy of your resume, which lists your:

  • Educational history, including all colleges, universities, graduate and/or professional schools you have attended, whether or not you were a degree candidate
  • Scholastic or academic honors, including scholarships, fellowships, prizes, honor society memberships, publications, etc.
  • Professional experience, including internships or other relevant activities
