Mr. Uhlenhop is a senior member in the law firm of Lawrence, Kamin, Saunders & Uhlenhop LLC in Chicago. Mr. Uhlenhop heads his firm’s practice, specializing in securities and futures law, regulation and litigation. His firm represents broker-dealers, investment advisors, futures commission merchants, commodity trading advisors and other securities professionals. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, and at the University of Illinois College of Law. He was formerly an attorney with the SEC and is a former Chairman of the Securities Law Committee and the Futures & Derivatives Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. Uhlenhop is co-chair of the American Bar Association Subcommittee on Futures Litigation, a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Business Conduct Committee. Mr. Uhlenhop is a member of the Board of Editors for Global Markets Journal and for Futures and Derivatives Law Reporter. Mr. Uhlenhop is a member of the bars of the states of Illinois and New York and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales.
Mr. Uhlenhop received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois in 1958 with honors and his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois in 1961. During law school, he participated in the United States Attorney General's Program For Honor Law Students. After graduating from law school, he practiced with the Securities and Exchange Commission and has been a Partner/Member of LKSU since 1971.
