Chicago Mentor Program

Incoming International Students -would you like to connect with a current Chicago-Kent J.D. student who is familiar with Chicago? If so, consider signing up for the Chicago Mentor program.

This new program matches new international LL.M. students with 2L, 3L, and 4L JD students. Your Chicago mentor would be available to help you adjust to life in Chicago and the U.S. by answering your questions about life in Chicago, public transportation, social events, Chicago-Kent, etc.

If you are interested in being matched with a Chicago Mentor, e-mail Mark Hoffman (mhoffman@kentlaw) no later than Friday, September 1, 2006 with the following information:

  • Your name, age, and gender
  • Your e-mail
  • What country you are from
  • Which language(s) (other than English) you speak/read/write
  • What type of law interests you
  • What neighborhood in Chicago (or suburb) you live in
  • Any other information that you think would be useful in helping us match you with a current student.

Please note, because this is a new program we can not guarantee that we will be able to match everyone who requests a mentor, but we will try our best!
