Metz program for Spring 2007- spaces still available
There are still spaces available for students who are interested in studying this spring 2007 in France as part of the Chicago-Kent/University of Metz exchange program. The Metz semester starts February 5th, 2007 and concludes with exams in late May. All students who participate will be placed in a summer internship in a European law firm.
There will be 3 courses offered in Metz this spring for our students: European Union Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, and Contracts, Competition and E-Commerce law and Economics, each for 3 credits. To make up a full semester of 12 credits, students will be enrolled in a 3 credit Independent Research Course and will write a paper under the supervision of Dean Lazar or a faculty member chosen by the student. Another option to sustain a sufficient credit load is to take the Intensive Trial Ad program in January, worth 3 credits. Students who select this option will have the Trial Ad credits added to their Fall semester credit load - even if they are already at the maximum of 16, the administration will permit students to register for 19 credits for Fall to accommodate Trial Ad. There is an administrative fee of $2500 to be paid to the University of Metz for this program.
