All students are invited to join the Chicago Bar Association Chorus – first meeting January 17th
Sing accessible music in a collegial setting with director Becky Patterson, a great person and a noted choral teacher. All skill levels are welcome. The first rehearsal is from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17th at the CBA building, 321 S. Plymouth Court, in Corboy Hall on the second floor. After some warm-ups and vocal exercises, we sing. About halfway through we break for refreshments, followed by more singing. Our second rehearsal is January 31st, and then we will meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. The Chorus’ next venture is Faure’s Requiem, to be performed with the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at St. James Cathedral. Come to our rehearsals and try us out. We know you’ll be hooked after the first hour. To get started, email or call one of the committee co-chairpersons with your contact information: Jennifer Widmer at jawidmer@juno.com or (312) 759-2155 Mark Burkland at mark.burkland@hklaw.com or (312) 578-6557.
