October 22: Intercultural Communication Networking Program from 4:30 to 5pm in the 10th Floor Event Room
You're attending a networking event. How do you introduce yourself to others? How do you initiate a great conversation? What can you do to make a good first impression? Are you aware of the cultural differences in approach that can make or break an interaction?
On Monday, October 22nd from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the 10th floor Event Room, join us for a networking reception, for the answers to these questions and more with Claudia Jaccarino and Penny Kendall from CultureConnect, the premier Chicago-based management consulting firm specializing in solving global business challenges through building a cross-cultural perspective. The presentation will cover greetings and introductions, conversation skills for business and social settings, networking do's and don'ts, appropriate attire, and other issues related to making a great impression on prospective employers, colleagues, and clients. This event will be of great benefit to anyone who is interviewing for internships and jobs, attending networking or career events, having lunch/dinner with colleagues and clients, or curious about the do's and don'ts of professional networking. This event is geared specifically toward international students. To reserve a space at this event or if you have any questions, please email Elizabeth Pohlman McQuillen at email@example.com, by Thursday, October 18th at 5 p.m.
