Email information for graduates
As a Chicago-Kent graduate, the Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to offer you the option of setting up an alumni.kentlaw.edu email address through our e-mail forwarding service. This service is available through the Chicago-Kent Alumni Online Community and allows you to choose a firstname.lastname@example.org address that will be forwarded to your specified personal email account (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, or work e-mail, etc).
This system allows you to utilize a simple e-mail address to give to family and friends, and your username can be your current username or you can create a new one.
In order to access email forwarding, all you have to do is sign up for the Chicago-Kent Alumni Online Community. Accounts for May 2008 graduates will be available in mid-July. Your current Chicago-Kent email and network accounts will be terminated on Monday, August 4.
Reminder: OPT deadlines!
This is just a reminder that if you wish to apply for OPT, you can still do so. You must apply for OPT before completion of study. All forms must be received at US CIS by the last date of the term in which you are completing your degree. The International Center recommends that you submit your application at least 90 days before you want to start working on OPT. For more information, please click here for the OPT tutorial.
“International” Clerkship Opportunity for JD students
From The American Lawyer: "For the hyperambitious, the only federal court clerkships worth striving for are in the chambers of elite judges, acting as way stations on the road to a clerkship on the U.S. Supreme Court. Some choose a different path to clerkship paradise, however, one that leads through courts in the South Pacific. These former U.N. trust territories have legal systems similar to those of the United States. And many invite American law graduates to spend a year or two working in their courts as clerks and counsel" For more information, please click here.
