Beginning SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4 thru MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, the library and building hours will be extended to accommodate students during the exam period. The hours are as follows:

Spring 2010 Schedule and Registration.
•Final Spring 2011 Schedule and Registration Bulletin. The final Spring 2011 class schedule, the Registration Bulletin, and the course and exam grids are available on the Spring 2011 Term page or by going to the Current Students Portal page (click on the Spring '11 link). Print copies are available on the table outside the third floor cafetria. Registration instructions appear below.
•Changes/Corrections to Schedule. Please note the following changes and corrections to the Spring 2011 schedule. A revised schedule (available through the Spring 2011 Term Page and outside the third floor cafeteria) has been issued incorporating these revisions.
-Legal Writing 4: Civil Litigation (section 432-55): This section of Legal Writing 4, scheduled for T/Th 6:00-7:25pm, will not be offered.
-Multinational Business Bankrupcy & Reorganizations: This class, listed as a regular course in the Spring schedule, will also be offered for seminar credit. To take the class as a regular course, register using 157-51. To register for seminar credit, register using course number 908-51.
-Advanced Legal Ethics (Family Law LL.M. class): The course number for this class was omitted from the Spring schedule. It is 866-51
•Registration Instructions. Registration will take place from Tuesday, November 23, 8:30 a.m. through Tuesday, November 30, 11:00 p.m. You may register at any time during that period. To register beginning on Tuesday, go to the Spring 2011 Term page and click on the "Online Registration" link.
After the end of the registration period, the registration requests will be processed according to each student’s registration priority. In other words, registration will not be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. As long as you register during the designated period, you will have an equal chance of being admitted to a class as other students within your registration priority group.
To learn what classes you have been admitted into, you must check the online registration site on or after Friday, Decmeber 3. Registering for a class during the initial registration period is no guarantee that you will be admitted into the class – you must check the web site on or after Friday, December 3 to learn what classes you have been admitted into.
Fall 2010 Final Exam Information:
Chicago-Kent College of Law provides limited accommodation for non-US law students who are studying in English for the first time, whether they are studying as LL.M. students or as Exchange students. The accommodation consists of the following measures:
a) Extra time on exams, but only if the student did not take their first law degree in English. LL.M. and Exchange students will have their exams rescheduled for 8:30 am each morning unless you hold a law degree that was taught in English, in which case you will take your exams with the J.D. students.
- b) LLM students are permitted the use of a paper English/other language dictionary in all exams, including closed book exams. Laptop or other electronic dictionaries as well as legal dictionaries (e.g. Black’s law dictionary) are forbidden under all circumstances.
- c) Students who wish to take their exams on a laptop can do so and still qualify for extra time. However, students who wish to use a Chicago-Kent computer in a computer lab for their exam will not qualify for extra time.
Please log-in to Web for Students (icon is located in the bottom of your Webmail) to view your updated exam schedule.
We will assume that you intend to take your exams on your own laptop. If you prefer to handwrite your exams, you may change the method by logging into your Webmail account, click on the Web for Students icon, and navigate to the Exam Method Registration form. The form will be available beginning Wednesday, November 3; the deadline for submitting an exam method request is Friday, November 12, at 5:00 pm.
If you prefer to take one or more exams on a lab computer, you will need to notify Hilary Waldron no later than Friday, November 12, at 5:00 pm. Please be specific in your email to Hilary and tell her exactly what you prefer and give her the exam title and scheduled time. Please remember that if you choose to take an exam on a lab computer, you will NOT receive any extra time.

ICenter Hours and Travel Signatures
Reminder: The International Center has advising hours at the Downtown Campus on Thursdays from 9:00am to 4pm in room 656. Please call 312-567-3680 by Wednesday at 4:30 pm to make an appointment.
If you are planning to travel outside of the U.S., you are required by SEVIS to have a travel signature. To obtain a travel signature on your I-20, please bring it to the International Center. The International Center recommends that you bring your I-20 to them at least one week in advance. We advise that you get your travel signature well in advance. A travel signature is valid for 12 months; however, we strongly advise that you obtain a new signature if the previous travel signature is more than 6 months old.
