Part-Time Legal Research Assistant:
Professor Lori Andrews, Director of the Institute for Science, Law and Technology (ISLAT) at Chicago-Kent College of Law, is currently hiring law students as Research Assistants for part-time paid positions for the Fall 2008 semester. ISLAT is undertaking numerous projects to investigate the legal and societal implications of emerging biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, and health care issues. ISLAT is also examining legal and policy issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and discrimination against people with diabetes and their families. Research Assistants will be responsible for conducting research on a variety of topics (including diabetes, bioethics, the governance of human subject research, intellectual property, gene patents, issues related to health care, and genetics); drafting memoranda; and contributing to grant projects. Applicants will be accepted from multidisciplinary undergraduate backgrounds and must have strong writing and researching skills.
