Hiring fall research assistants
Professor Lori Andrews, Director of the non-profit Institute for Science, Law and Technology (ISLAT) at Chicago-Kent College of Law, is currently hiring law students as Research Assistants to work during the Fall 2013 semester. ISLAT is undertaking numerous projects to investigate the legal and societal implications of social networks, data aggregation, and behavioral advertising. ISLAT is also examining legal and policy issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and discrimination against people with diabetes and their families.
Research Assistants will be responsible for conducting research on a variety of topics, including social networks, gamification, diabetes, bioethics, the governance of human subject research, intellectual property, gene patents, issues related to health care, and genetics; drafting memoranda; and contributing to grant projects. Applicants will be accepted from multidisciplinary undergraduate backgrounds and must have strong writing and researching skills.
