COMPLAINT

Jurisdiction

Plaintiff lives in Illinois and this is a federal case.

Legal Claim

Wherefore, Plaintiff has worked hard for Defendants for many years. Be it known that, when his father got sick, Plaintiff had to go take care of his father. Be it further known that his boss told him not to worry and that “he had to do what he had to do.” It subsequently transpired that, then, just before his father took a turn for the worse, Mildred Joseph called and said that Plaintiff could stay in Arizona, that he had missed too many days.

The aforementioned delicts sent Plaintiff into a complete tailspin. Nullem crimen, but he hasn’t been able to sleep and he breaks into tears at every job interview. Clearly the law has been broken and, secundum allegata et probata, Defendant—and Plaintiff’s boss—should have to pay not only nominal damages but also punitive damages. Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
