Professor Ehrenberg is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented student to serve as administrative assistant for the Charles Evans Hughes Competition.

The competition will be held this year from April 16 - April 27. The position would involve recruiting judges, scheduling arguments, distributing bench briefs, planning the reception after the final arguments, and acting as a general trouble-shooter on the days of the argument. Hours are flexible (except during the actual arguments). Please contact Professor Ehrenberg at SEHRENBE or 906-5263.

Ronald Staudt, Associate Vice President and Professor of Law, is seeking student research assistants for two projects:

1. The creation of a new Web site for judges only in conjunction with the National Center for State Courts, and
2. the investigation of distance learning methods and technology, in preparation for a workshop to be held at Chicago-Kent, June 24 and 25, 1999.

Useful qualifications would include experience in: Web site development, HTML authoring, digital videotechnology, and/or distance learning technology.
