IRS summer legal externship and employment opportunities for current 1Ls and 2Ls
The Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, has two paid positions and two for-credit, volunteer externship positions available this summer in its Chicago office.
Applicants with prior expertise or experience in tax matters are preferred, but the IRS will consider all applicants. Applications are due by Wednesday, March 10, 2004. Applications should include: brief cover letter, resume, law school transcript and writing sample. Applicants must also submit Form 6524 , available at www.ustreas.gov/jobs/attorney.html. Congratulations to Envionmental Moot Court Team
Congratulations to the environmental moot court team on its recent
success at the sixteenth annual National Environmental Law Moot Court
Competition, which took place from February 19 through February 21 at
Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. Team members
Aaron Garland (3L), Heidi Windmiller (3L), and Megan Garvey (2L) advanced to the
quarterfinal round in the competition, and Heidi Windmiller received an
award for Best Oralist in a preliminary round. The competition
attracted teams from 72 law schools across the country and is the
preeminent environmental moot court competition in the United States.
