Professor Atuahene recently joined the board of La Casa Norte (www.lacasanorte.org), and she invites the Chicago-Kent community to attend a photography and fine art auction to benefit the organization. La Casa Norte is a nonprofit organization committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for homeless and abandoned people, where they can benefit from a comprehensive program of education, guidance and counseling in a community setting.

From Professor Felice Batlan
Note: Professor Batlan joins the Chicago-Kent faculty this summer.
Professor Felice Baltan is in need of a research assistant. The position will begin in June or July with generally 15 hours a week. Primary duties will be research and sub-citing. Her current project involves the history of quarantine in the Unites States. Compensation is at a rate of $10.00 an hour. Journal experience is preferred and some interest in history, public health, civil rights, or immigration is helpful but not necessary.
