Documentary film organization seeks student intern with grant-writing experience
Documentaries to Inspire Social Change (DISC) is a nonprofit organization founded by Chicago-Kent law professor Bernadette Atuahene. DISC's first film, "Sinfu Okwethu," is an evocative story about land dispossession in South Africa. A sneak peek of the film can be viewed at www.discwebsite.org.
DISC seeks an intern with grant-writing experience to be the co-director of fundraising for the summer. The intern will be responsible for finding and writing grants to raise money for the feature-length film DISC is producing. The intern will work no more than 20 hours per week and must be able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision. The position begins at the end of May and ends when school begins.
