Chicago-Kent Documentary Film Series on Race

In an effort to have meaningful discussions about race, join faculty, students and alumni in film screenings followed by discussion.

March 26: "The House We Live In"

Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium, 6 p.m.

"The House We Live In" is the final episode of "Race: The Power of an Illusion" and focuses on the ways institutions and policies advantage some groups at the expense of others.

April 22: "Raising Our Voices"

Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium, noon

"Raising Our Voices" seeks to raise awareness about the increasing hate crimes and bias incidents affecting South Asian communities, especially in the late 1990s.

Apply for the Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Summer Fellowship Program

The Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Summer Fellowship Program provides a grant of $5,000 each to two students at Chicago-Kent College of Law who have secured unpaid public interest legal positions during the summer. These two Stevens Fellowships are awarded to help defray living expenses of deserving and committed students working in the public interest, as well as to provide much-needed legal assistance to public interest organizations.

Apply by Tuesday, April 1, at noon (with a hard copy in Professor Marder's mailbox and an electronic copy to Professor Marder by email). Applications are available electronically through Career Services' Symplicity document library. Hard copies are also available in the clip outside Professor Marder's office door (room 839).
