November 14: "Celebrating 20 Years of Democracy in South Africa"

Join Professor Atuahene for the launch of her new book, We Want What's Ours: Learning from South Africa's Land Restitution Program, and a screening of her documentary Sifuna Okwethu (We Want What’s Ours). The event will also feature a discussion with Professor Atuahene about her work on land reform; a panel discussion about land reform, featuring South African Consul General Vuyiswa Tulelo and Professor Doug Foster of Northwestern University; and a presentation by Andre Guichard, creator of the cover art for Professor Atuahene's new book.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at the Chicago Cultural Center's Cassidy Theater, 78 E. Washington St., in Chicago. Dinner catered by Yassa African Restaurant will be provided for those who RSVP online or by email to Alison Steiner (asteine2@kentlaw.iit.edu).
