Hiring fall research assistants
The Center for Diabetes Research and Policy (CDRP) at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is currently hiring Research Assistants to work during the Fall 2013 semester. Research Assistants will be responsible for conducting research on a variety of topics, drafting memoranda, and contributing to grant projects.
Research Assistants will support the legal and policy work of the CDRP. Research Assistants will research and write memoranda on a number of legal topics and policy issues relating to diabetes, chronic health conditions, and health-related mobile applications, games, and social networking sites. Research Assistants will work with attorneys who provide pro bono legal representation for individuals or groups of individuals who are denied access to medical treatment or insurance coverage for diabetes and diabetes-related illnesses or who face discrimination in a number of contexts, including school, daycare, employment, and correctional facilities.
Applicants will be accepted from multidisciplinary undergraduate backgrounds and must have strong writing and researching skills. Applicants must submit a cover letter, writing sample and resume via email or regular mail to:
