April 1: Presentation on Client Management/Project Management: "What Is It and Why Is It Important to My Success as a Lawyer?"

Amanda Sonneborn is a partner in the Labor & Employment Department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a nationwide firm with its roots in Chicago. Ms. Sonneborn advises clients in industries from health care to retail to gaming on both labor relations law and other employment issues. She helps design and lead training courses for Seyfarth clients, teaches as an adjunct faculty member here at Chicago-Kent, and is active in a wide variety of management-side activities.
Ms. Sonneborn will talk about clients: how to get them, how to manage their expectations and their projects, and generally what to do to forge a successful relationship with them. There will be plenty of time for questions.

"The Post-Recession Economy: A Return to... What?"

Lecturer: Jared Bernstein, senior fellow, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and former chief economist and economic adviser to Vice President Biden.
Commentaries will be provided by Mary Joyce Carlson, who currently serves as national counsel to the Fast Food Workers Organizing Committee, and James J. Glynn, vice president of labor relations at GM North America.
