Open call for JD students: Give a video testimonial about your experiences at Chicago-Kent!

Wednesday, February 2, 2011
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We're looking for JD students who'd be willing to answer a few questions on camera about their experiences at Chicago-Kent. The short, very informal interviews will take about 10 minutes. We plan to include the student comments we gather in several short videos to be used by the Office of Admissions and to be posted on the law school's YouTube channel.

We're asking all students who are interested in participating to fill out a simple online form so that we can be in touch by e-mail with further details about where the videographer and interviewer will be set up on the day of the shoot.

The first 25 students to sign up online and then participate in a video interview will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card.

We appreciate your participation and interest and hope to see you on February 2!

The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is currently recruiting students to serve as bailiffs during the Midwest Regional Rounds. Volunteers will escort judges to the courtrooms and time the teams' oral arguments. This will allow you to meet area attorneys, listen in on the teams' arguments, and pick up oral advocacy techniques.

Volunteers are needed for the following rounds. The greatest need is for rounds 2, 4 and 5:

Friday, February 11, 2011
Round 1: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Round 2: Noon – 2:30 p.m.
Round 3: 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 12, 2011
Round 4: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Round 5: Noon – 2:30 p.m.
Quarter Final Rounds: 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

An optional meeting will be held on Thursday, February 10, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Chicago-Kent to go over the procedures.

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail your availability to Ryan Kovach at rkovach@kentlaw.edu.
