October 14: Professionalism Series Part 2: "Putting Your Best Face on Facebook--Social Networking Online"

As social networking options like Facebook, Twitter, blogging and LinkedIn continue to grow, so do the opportunities to use these sites to increase your own network of contacts in the legal world. Unfortunately, the long shelf life and informal nature of these sites also can lead to embarrassing and potentially self-sabotaging incidents. Have you done everything possible to protect your personal Web presence from the eyes of the general public, including prospective employers? On the flip side, have you considered creating a positive career-related blog or other online presence to enhance your chances of landing the best job possible after graduation? Curtis A. Linder, president of Linder Legal Staffing Inc. in Chicago, and Nancy Roberts Linder, CFO of Linder Legal Staffing Inc., will discuss how LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter are revolutionizing the way lawyers and law students can create career opportunities.

Date: Wednesday, October 14

Time: 3 to 4 p.m.

Place: Room 520
