Asian Pacific American Law Students Association

The Kent Connection: JD & LLM Social

Venue: LaSalle Power Co., first floor

Time: November 11, from 8 to 10 p.m.

Highlights: Two hours of all-you-can-drink deal, light appetizers, and a sushi man from Yuki Hana serving spicy tuna rolls and California rolls. Rolls are limited per person.

Cost: $10 per person. Must RSVP by November 9. Spaces are limited to 80, first come first served!

Join the Chicago-Kent Child and Family Law Society for a networking event where students interested in family law can meet and mingle with practicing family law attorneys and alumni in Chicago. Muslim Law Student Association

November 15: The Anti-Shariah Movement

The Muslim Law Student Association, in conjunction with Decalogue, National Lawyers Guild (Chicago-Kent Chapter), South Asian Law Student Association, and the American Constitution Society, will be holding a panel discussion on the current anti-Shariah movement. The panel discussion will examine the constitutionality, structure and tactics of an Islamophobic cause, and modeling the application of Islamic law on New York Talmudic courts.

The event will be held on Tuesday, November 15, from noon to 1 p.m. in room 580. Food will be served!
