SBA General Assembly to vote on new bylaws

The SBA General Assembly will vote on the approval of these new bylaws at our next meeting. Please read through them and forward all questions or comments to Stephen Gardner at sgardner@kentlaw.edu.

February 28: Join us for our first "5 Under 5" event

The first ever "5 Under 5" event will be taking place on February 28 at 7 p.m. This event honors five young alumni less than five years out of Chicago-Kent and gives current students the opportunity to learn from and socialize with our very own alums. Food and drinks will be provided! Future dates to also keep in mind are March 22 and April 17. Look forward to seeing you there!

Student Animal Legal Defense Fund

Pet photo contest to benefit Safe Humane Chicago

Students and staff are invited to submit photos to saldf@kentlaw.edu or the SALDF mailbox on the second floor.

Include your name, the name of your pet, your email address and phone number. Stop by the SALDF table to vote on the winners in March.

Fun prizes include a pet store gift card and a session with a pet photographer!

Women in Law

Thursday, February 23: Vagina Monologues performance and cocktail reception

Women in Law's annual production of the Vagina Monologues, written by Eve Ensler, is on Thursday, February 23. Proceeds from the play will go to local domestic violence victims.

We will be selling tickets on Monday, February 20, and Wednesday, February 22. Tickets are $8 ($10 at the door).

There will be an open bar and appetizers prior to the performance (included with your ticket purchase) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m.

Please come help us support a great cause!

Wednesday, February 22: WIL bake sale

To help promote the Vagina Monologues performance and fundraise for WIL, we’re having a bake sale on Wednesday, February 22. Members, please sign up on TWEN to bake or sell treats.

Saturday, March 3: WIL Ladies' Brunch

Take a break from the books, throw on your favorite spring outfit, and join fellow Women in Law members for our annual spring brunch! Come meet us at Rockit in River North to hang out with friends, meet other WIL members, and drink bottomless mimosas. This event was a huge success last year, and we are so excited to host it again!

Location: Rockit Bar and Grill, 22 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, IL 60654
Date: Saturday, March 3
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Price: $25 for a delicious breakfast buffet and an unlimited mimosa bar

We will be selling tickets in the lobby on Tuesday, February 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members, please sign up for a spot to help sell tickets! Tickets are limited, so make sure to purchase your ticket early. We will accept cash or checks.
