September 27: LAGBAC Meet the Bar
This Friday, September 27, is LAGBAC's Meet the Bar at Sidetrack. LAGBAC is the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, and their Meet the Bar event is a monthly event for students and practitioners to meet and network. Members get two free drinks, and the event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois 60657 (Roscoe and Halsted).
September 28: Volunteer at or stop by the Chicago-Kent Lambdas Block Party booth!
The Chicago-Kent Lambdas are looking for volunteers to help staff our booth at the Chicago-Kent Block Party on Saturday, September 28. If you cannot volunteer but will be there, please stop by our booth! We will have tie-dye and face painting, and who doesn't love a good tie-dye T-shirt? September 25: First general meeting
IPLS will be having its first general meeting Wednesday, September 25, noon to 1 p.m., in room C40. There will be free food and drink.
We will talk about the upcoming year's events, the benefits of paid IPLS membership (résumé review, discounts, etc.), and answer any questions you might have about our organization.
