November 19: Public Interest Job Panel

Please join us Tuesday at noon to ask attorneys from First Defense Legal Aid, CARPLS (Chicago Advice Referral Program Legal Services), the Legal Assistance Foundation, and the Natural Resources Defense Counsel about different career paths in the public interest sector.

Lunch will be provided!

 


International Law Student Association

November 19: Chicago ILSA Panel Discussion

On Tuesday, November 19, at 5 p.m., the International Law Student Association (ILSA) will host the first annual Chicago ILSA Panel Discussion in the auditorium at Chicago-Kent, together with ILSA chapters from four other Chicago-area law schools. The discussion will focus on "Crisis in Syria: An International Perspective," with a reception to follow in the lobby. Law professors from several Chicago law schools will be on the panel, and this will be a very interesting and current event.

All J.D. and LL.M. students are welcome to attend.

 


Journal of International and Comparative Law

Seeking student articles!

The Chicago-Kent Journal of International and Comparative Law is seeking student articles to publish in its upcoming spring issue. If you have written an academic article on an international or comparative law issue and wish for it to be considered for publication, please submit your article to jicl@kentlaw.iit.edu by November 22, 2013. November 21: Women in Law presents "Marketing Yourself: Empowerment Through Networking"

Please join the Women's Bar Association of Illinois and Chicago-Kent Women in Law for our fall networking event, "Marketing Yourself: Empowerment Through Networking"! There will be some excellent panelists from a variety of different legal backgrounds, including an appellate court justice and several law firm partners. There will be a cocktail reception following the panel discussion. We hope to see all of you there!
