The CBA has more than 30 committees that range from family law to corporate law and everything in between. The committee meetings are free to students and allow students to interact with Chicago attorneys in a different setting than a high-pressure networking event! October 1: Young Lawyers Section social hour
Join the YLS for a fun social event on Thursday, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Henry’s, 18 W. Hubbard, Chicago, IL. Mingle with local legal professionals at this River North favorite while enjoying complimentary drinks and light appetizers.
October 2: Conference on Domestic Violence
The Alliance for Women is co-sponsoring The John Marshall Law School's 3rd annual Conference on Domestic Violence to explore options for improved handling of custody/visitation cases. See the details/conference agenda and register online.

September 29: White Sox ticket raffle
The ACPLS is raffling off an awesome package deal for White Sox tickets!
For $2 per raffle ticket, or $5 for 3 raffle tickets, you'll be entered to win:

- $50 Comiskey Cash (accepted just like cash anywhere inside the ballpark)

Corporate Law Society
October 1: Corporate Law Society social
The Corporate Law Society has reserved the second floor at Hubbard Inn for a great social and drink deal. Come blow off some steam with the Corporate Law Society and network with fellow classmates, upper classmates, and alumni. Or just enjoy yourself and relax from the law school grind with some friends! The event is not exclusive to CLS or Chicago-Kent students, so feel free to bring friends and significant others.
Where: Hubbard Inn, 110 W. Hubbard Street (about one mile from school)

Time: 8 to 10 p.m. (You do not have to leave when the deal ends.)

October 1: Join the campaign and watch the documentary Merchants of Doubt
The Environmental Law Society is teaming up with the "Know Tomorrow" Campaign to demand action on climate change on Thursday, October 1, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in room 590. Come and join the campaign by watching the documentary Merchants of Doubt, made by the director of Food, Inc. and not in theaters until March of next year. Food and free swag will be made available! The speaker will be Nelson Rosario, Lempia Summerfield Katz. Noon to 1 p.m. in room C20.

September 30: Women in Law Mentorship Orientation Panel Event
Women in Law and the Alumni Office will be holding the Mentor Orientation Event in room 510 at 3 p.m. If you signed up for a WIL alumni mentor and have not participated in the program before, this event is mandatory. If you have participated in the program before, this event comes highly recommended. Panelists will discuss how to contact your mentor and networking tips.
