November 29 and 30: Bankruptcy Symposium: "Comparative and Cross-Border Issues in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law"
The Chicago-Kent Law Review invites you to attend the 2017 Chicago-Kent Live Symposium on Comparative and Cross-Border Issues in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. In this symposium, Professor Adrian Walters of Chicago-Kent College of Law and Professor Christoph Henkel of Mississippi College School of Law will host scholars in bankruptcy, commercial, finance and comparative law to examine modern issues of bankruptcy and insolvency on the international level. This symposium is free to attend. Lunch is provided on Day 2 for attendees with advance registration. The panels will be livestreamed from the Symposium webpage, and recordings will be hosted after the event for those unable to attend. This event is approved for 9 hours of IL and PA General MCLE credit.

Chicago-Kent National Lawyers Guild
November 21: Join us for making holiday cards
On Tuesday, November 21, the C-K National Lawyers Guild will be making holiday cards for young people in Illinois prisons and detention centers. We will make the cards outside of the 3rd floor Spak, where we will have a table set up from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Liberation Library, a Chicago-based volunteer group that provides books to young people in prison, will distribute the cards through their holiday card program. We're really excited to crank out these cards, and we would be so thankful if you could help out!

Chicago-Kent Roundtable
November 14: "The Second Amendment in the Second City", a conversation on gun violence and control in Chicago and beyond
Join us for dinner, drinks and a lively discussion on gun control as it pertains to the city of Chicago. Panelists from various legal and political backgrounds will begin by answering student submitted questions. Afterwards, panelists will facilitate break-out discussion among the students themselves!
