Come hear panelists Judge Abner Mikva (U.S. Court of
Appeals for the D.C. Circuit), Frank Mankiewicz (former
press secretary to Robert Kennedy and former president
of National Public Radio) and Peter Slevin (Chicago
correspondent for the Post) discuss the First Amendment
issues surrounding press reporting on the War on
Terror. A reception will follow at 3:15pm in the lobby.

Come hear Professor
Neal Katyal of Georgetown University speak about the
Hamdan v. Rumsfeld trial.
Katyal was formerly a national security advisor for the
Justice Department and is well-known for his
advocacy of pro bono legal work. He was lead counsel
for Hamdan, the alleged bodyguard and personal driver of
Osama bin Laden. Katyal won in the District Court of
D.C. in 2004, but the U.S. Court of Appeals
overturned that decision in 2005. Katyal will discuss
the case and its constitutional concerns in detail.
