COMMENTATOR IS HERE!
issue of The Commentator - the last one of the semester
- is now available! Get your very own copy from bins on
the first, third, and ninth floors as well as the
concourse. It's sixteen pages of Kent news, student
organization news, event announcements, movie/music/restaurant/bar reviews, quotable
quotes (from professors), answers to our holiday
poll, and editorial columns!
In the December 2006 issue, we
published a crossword puzzle in which one of the
clues was “Italian slur,” the answer to which was a
derogatory term used for Italians. Although the clue
in question referred to the term as a slur, we
recognize that using a derogatory term such as this
can, itself, give rise to offense. The Commentator
did not in any way mean to give offense. This was an
editorial oversight we did not detect until after
the issue went to print. We strive to publish a
high-quality, professional newspaper and will be
diligent in our efforts to prevent similar items
from slipping through our editorial process.
Keep sending us
memorable quotes from your favorite professors! They're
bound to say some interesting things as we near final
