to Keynote 3rd Annual Illinois Environmental Conference:
Emerging Developments in Environmental Law and Policy

On September 25 & 26,
2003, the Illinois Environmental Conference will host its 2003
educational event, "Emerging Developments in
Environmental Law and Policy," at the Union League Club.
The program is
co-sponsored by the CBA and will feature top speakers in the
field of environmental law, including: Thomas V. Skinner,
Regional Administrator for the USEPA Region 5; Terrence J.
O'Brien, President of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation
District of Greater Chicago; Michael Zunk, Acting Federal
Security Director O'Hare for the Federal Aviation
Administration; Suzanne Malec, Deputy Commissioner, Department
of the Environment, City of Chicago; and Rahm Emanuel, U.S.
Representative, 5th District, Illinois.
A wide variety of topics
will be discussed during the two-day conference, including:
Public Water Supplies, Chemical Reporting Requirements, Port
Security in Chicago, Changes to the Illinois EPA, Clean Air
Permit Requirements, Climate Change Impacts, Great Lakes Water
Issues, Brownfield Redevelopment, Multi-Media Inspections,
Citizen Participation in Enforcement of Laws, Openlands
Preservation, Environmental Justice Concerns, the Clean Air
Act and more!
Cost of the event is $200
per person, $175 for CBA members, and $150 for government
employees and full time students. Registration begins at 8:00
a.m. and the Conference will conclude at 4:00 p.m. each day.
