Career Services Office & Careers in Environmental Law

There will be a CSO event April 26th specifically geared towards post-           graduate employment opportunities in environmental law.  The event will
take place from 3-4 PM and feature speakers from area firms large and
small, as well as state government.  RSVP to Steve Janasie at
sjanasie@kentlaw.edu if you plan to attend.

Environmental Law Society Summer Fellowship

The Environmental Law Society is now accepting applicants for its
summer fellowship.  Anyone is welcome to apply.  Please bear in mind
that participation in KJF (they match our funds) as well as ELS is
considered.  If you wish to apply and have not volunteered with KJF,
Michelle Yu is still seeking volunteers for this Wednesday's KJF auction.
The application is attached and includes any instructions you may
need.  You can also contact Steve Janasie at sjanasie@kentlaw.edu
       with any questions.

Environmental Law Society Board Elections

Well, the year is winding down, it is time we considered the future of
ELS.  We are now accepting nominations for next year's board.
Nominations will be accepted through April 22nd.  The current board will
meet sometime thereafter to determine if there are contested positions
and if a ballot election is necessary.  Interested candidates should send
       me (
sjanasie@kentlaw.edu) a one page candidacy statement explaining
your qualifications, interest and/or past participation in ELS in a
Word/Word Perfect attachment.  Be sure to include what position you
are seeking (believe me, it happens).

Please, even if you have not been heavily involved in ELS in the past,
consider running.  We are losing a lot of "old blood" this year and there
       will be many openings.
