Environmental Law Institute Postgraduate Fellowship 2012-2013

Interested in pursuing an environmental law passion after graduation? The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) offers a law fellow the opportunity to work closely with ELI attorneys and other professionals to advance environmental protection by analyzing existing legal tools, developing new ones, and crafting innovative approaches to implementation.

Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee Meeting

Come meet fellow environmental practitioners and other attorneys to kick off the start of the CBA and ISBA year!  ELS members are welcomed to the Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee Meetings that meet every 4th Thursday at 12:15 at CBA on 321 S. Plymouth Ct.  The first meeting will be on September 22nd. You can find more information about their events at http://illinoisenvironmentallaw.com/events/.


CBA Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee Beach Cleanup


Were you unable to participate in the ELS beach cleanup? The CBA Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee will be participating in an Adopt-a-Beach cleanup event on October 1 from 9am - 12pm at Oak Street Beach, located at 1000 North Lake Shore Drive, in association with Alliance for the Great Lakes.  Volunteers will conduct litter removal and monitoring and complete a beach health assessment form.  You can register for the event at http://www.greatlakesadopt.org/; just type in Oak Street Beach in the location and you'll see the event.  Supplies for the clean-up will be provided, but please wear closed-toed shoes and bring water.  You can learn more about the Adopt-a-Beach program at http://www.greatlakes.org/adoptabeach.
