The (International) Labor Lawyer as a Regulator

Tuesday, March 9th - at NOON in Room 580

The Labor Lawyer as a Regulator:  A “Latin” View from Spain, via France and Through Chile

Chicago-Kent Professor Cesar Rosado will give a brown bag talk about his ongoing research project on labor law enforcement in Chile.  While the topic of his talk focuses mainly on labor law, it is also relevant to many other areas of law, including immigration law, international law, admin law and conflicts of law.

Event type: Informal brown bag talk; some drinks, fruit and sweets will be provided.

Please bring your lunch and join us for what promises to be a very interesting and entertaining discussion.

This event is co-sponsored by the Immigration Law Society, the Hispanic-Latino Law Society, and the Labor and Employment Law Society!

Volunteers Needed for American Immigration Lawyers

Association Mid-Year Conference

The American Immigration Lawyers Association’s local chapter is hosting the Association’s mid-year conference on Friday, April 9, 2010, at the Chicago Hilton and Towers.  Registration begins at 7:00am and the conference ends at 5:00pm.  They are currently seeking law student volunteers to help organize the registration and assist throughout the day keeping time/keeping organized, etc. (volunteers are not required to commit to the entire day if they are unable to; any amount of time would help).  They hope to have enough volunteers to allow students to sit in on some conference sessions as well. This is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in immigration law to network with members of the practicing bar.  To volunteer contact Chicago-Kent alum Sara Herbek at: sherbek@azulayseiden.com by March 19, 2010.
