ILSA is part of a very active International
Law program at Chicago-Kent. Our JD curriculum includes a Certificate
Program in International & Comparative Law. The specialization
provides a core body of students interested in International Law the opportunity
to delve into their specific areas of interests through a broad range of
International Law courses and seminars, and through independent study projects
guided by our renowned international law faculty.
We are always looking for enthusiastic
individuals to get involved with the organization. To take part in the
abundant international law opportunities below, sign-up
to become a member.
ILSA members actively participated
in study abroad and international exchange programs. Most recently, our
members have traveled to India, Zimbabwe, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Greece,
Hong-Kong and South America. Each program has a unique focus, but most
include both formal class settings for which credit is earned, and practical
legal experience through work in a foreign law firm or other legal organization.
For more information on study abroad programs visit Legal
Study Abroad Headquarters.
ILSA sponsors the International
Law Career Day, where International Law practitioners from around the
world speak on a variety of international topics and discuss what you can
do to get into this influential field.
Chicago-Kent proudly maintains the
Library
of International Relations, an authorized depository of the United
Nations that includes documents from the beginning of the League of Nations.
The Library is recognized as one of the most important locations for international
legal research in the region.
Students at Chicago-Kent have the
opportunity to participate in the Global
Law and Policy Initiative. GLAPI utilizes the resources of Chicago-Kent
to influence international law and policy activities in Chicago and around
the world. The most recent initiatives include Project
Kosovo and
Project
