SPEAKER PANEL EVENT: THE ROLE OF THE LAWYER IN
INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Education, food, entertainment--the works! ILSA will
co-host a speaker panel event with ELS and HLSA on Tuesday,
November 16, 2004, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m in room
580. Three speakers with wide-ranging experience in
international environmental matters will discuss the role of
lawyers in helping to bring about economic growth in
developing countries in a way that minimizes adverse
consequences on social equity and the environment. A
reception will follow.

In the first installment of ILSA's Consul General speaker
series, Israeli Consul General Moshe Ram will speak to Kent
students about such issues as Israel's role in the Middle
East, U.S.-Israeli relations, Israel's legal system, and
pressing national and international cases involving
Israel. Please join us for what will be a very
interesting discussion on Thursday, November 18, 2004, at
12:00 p.m. in room 580. Please bring your own lunch with
you, and we'll provide drinks.
