Countries Emerging from Conflict and the Emerging Rule of Law: A Foreign Correspondent's View

Christine Spolar, Middle East Correspondent for the Chicago Tribune, will be speaking on a variety of issues related to international law.  Pizza will be served.  So that we know how much pizza to order, please RSVP to lmarcus@kentlaw.edu.

Since joining the Tribune in 2002, Spolar has reported on the U.S.-led
war in Iraq and its aftermath, the deadly Palestinian intifada in
Israel, political changes in Jordan and Lebanon and the challenges
facing Egypt.

Previously, Spolar worked on the staff at CBS' "60 Minutes II," where
she was awarded an Emmy for investigative journalism.  She was also
chief of the Eastern Europe bureau from 1995 through 1998 and was
responsible for covering wars in Bosnia and Croatia as well as the
transition of Eastern Europe from communism to democracy.
