Patent Law Interview Program

  • Registration forms can be picked up in the Career Services Office and are due by 5:00 Friday, February 22 (along with a non-refundable check for $25 payable to Loyola School of Law).
  • It is open to all law students returning in the Fall of 2002 (current 1Ls & 2Ls).  If you have an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or a technical science, you may want to apply .

  • Come and hear Kanae Hayamizu, a visiting scholar here at Chicago-Kent, speak about her experiences working with the Japanese Patent Office. 

Biotechnology and the Law Conference

Date: Thursday, March 14
Time & Place:  4:00-6:00 p.m. in Room 520

In cooperation with the Health Law Society , we will be hosting several guest speakers to discuss current issues involving property rights in body tissue, cloning and stem cell patents, and related biotechnology issues. Planned speakers include:

  • Antonio Regaldo, of the Wall Street Journal;
  • Mike Whittaker, a patent attorney at Foley & Lardner (representing Infigen - a cloning company); and
  • Prof. Lori Andrews, Chicago-Kent's Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of IIT's Institute for Science, Law and Technology.
