The next speaker for the 2007 Chicago Intellectual
Property Colloquium is Professor James Thuo Gathii from Albany Law
School. Professor
Gathii's paper, "What History Teaches Us About International
Protections of Intellectual Property Rights: The Case of Least Developed
Countries," will be discussed. The Colloquium is jointly sponsored
by Chicago-Kent College of Law and Loyola University Chicago School of
Law.
IPLS Election
Run
for the 2007-2008 IPLS Executive Board!
The positions are President, Day Vice President, Evening Vice
President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Webmaster. Position statements are due April 2, 2007 by
5pm. Send them to ipls@kenlaw.edu. The candidates and their position
statements will be sent out to the IPLS members on April 5th, and a
general election meeting will take place early the next week (most
likely 12 noon on Tuesday, April 10th). At the general election meeting, all
candidates are welcome to speak further on their qualifications. The voting will open on Monday April
9th when a voting bulletin will be sent out to all current IPLS
members. The bulletin will include
a ballot and details on how to submit your vote.
