Discussion on inequitable conduct with Therasense attorney Lawrence Pope

IPLS will be hosting Mr. Lawrence Pope for a discussion of inequitable conduct. Mr. Pope was the attorney whose statements to the USPTO were analyzed in Therasense. A divided Federal Circuit panel affirmed the unenforceability of the patent at issue because Mr. Pope allegedly made inconsistent statements to the US and European patent offices. The case was reheard en banc, and a decision is pending. Please join us to hear what Mr. Pope has to say about his case and inequitable conduct generally. Lunch will be provided.

The Law & Economics Society and IPLS will be hosting a discussion with Mr. Robert Greenspoon, a founder of and patent litigator at Flachsbart & Greenspoon, LLC. Mr. Greenspoon will be discussing the differences in patent licensing and enforcement for different types of actors in the patent market. Food will be provided.
